Winch Operator (Offshore Assignment Work)

What does the job involve?:
Offshore means “off the coast” or “at sea,” and in an industrial context, it refers to activities conducted away from land. We are looking for an employee for a company operating in the marine and offshore industry worldwide for the position of winch operator. After thorough training at the company’s headquarters in Dordrecht, you will execute projects around the globe. The company also rents out specialized equipment under the supervision of qualified operators. After the project is completed, the equipment must be returned to the company headquarters for maintenance in optimal condition.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repair and maintenance of equipment in the workshop in Dordrecht or during assignments
• Assemble, operate, and later dismantle equipment during the rental period at client locations.

Requirements:

• Good command of the English language (spoken and written)
• Education in the field of mechanics, hydraulics, or electrical engineering
• Experience in the offshore or construction industry and related fields
• Experience in operating winches, cranes, or hydraulic equipment
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Knowledge of diesel and hydraulic techniques

What do we offer:
Training in Dordrecht

• Training at the company’s headquarters in Dordrecht from 07:30 to 16:00
• Rate of €25.50 gross and 40 hours of work per week
• Reimbursement of travel costs at €0.21 per kilometer, up to a maximum distance of 50 km one way

Assignment

• After completing the training, departure on an assignment lasting 4 weeks or longer
• During the assignment, the working hours are at least 12 hours a day, depending on project requirements
• For each full week of work, you receive one day off, which you arrange with the employer
• Accommodation and meal costs during the trip are covered by the company

Additional benefits

• After working 40 hours per week, the hourly rate is €38.25 gross for work on Saturdays and €51.00 gross for work on Sundays and holidays.
• During the assignment, you also receive €76 daily allowance for each day spent abroad.

General
We offer fixed working hours, regular weekly payments, the possibility of health insurance, pension contributions from the first day of work, as well as 8.33% additional funds for the payment of holiday money. Our employees are entitled to 10.92% of holiday hours, as well as the possibility of switching to a permanent contracts
